It definitely depends on where you go. At a dental school, the cost for a root canal and crown could be as low as a few hundred dollars (around $250-500 for the root canal and around $500 per unit of bridgework), and unlike going internationally, the students are under the supervision of a licensed dentist. Out in private practice, the fees will be higher and vary, but expect to pay more in the neighborhood of $600-1000 per root canal and another $800-1500 per unit of your bridge.

I'm from around the Waco/Austin area. Around here it is normally about $5-800 for the root canal,depending on if you get it done by a general dentist or endodontist. The bridge is usually about $6-800 per unit. I actually work in Killen, Tx. The office I work for charges $550 at the most for a rct, and we normally do our own, seldomly refer out. Our bridges are no more than $670 per unit. I would not go south of the border to have the work, or to a dental school. Remember, you get what you pay for with your dental work. Trust me, I've done enough repairs for patients who wanted cheap treatment. The result was, they had to pay more money to have what they had done, fixed. Hope this helps. Just do your research!
