my boyfriend is a little overweight and always down on himself about his looks.He finds it hard to believe that someone like me(a skinny,kinda cute girl) loves him.we've been going out for half a year now and he told me,he honestly doesn't see what i see in him.

He's very lucky to have someone like you in his life.
The problem is exactly what he says it is. "He doesn't see what you see in him." In other words, he knows you care for him, but doesn't think highly enough of himself to believe that it's true.
Tell him you love him. Tell him you're glad that you're with him. Tell him that your proud of him If he's not too shy, some mild PDA could help too. It could also help if you say some nice things about him to others knowing that they will tell him. (Be very subtle. It has to be real.)
Ask him to plan an outing just for the two of you. It could be a picnic or a museum or ... When it's over, tell him it was great. (But don't make stuff up.)

Quite frankly, he probably sees you doing something that makes him feel insecure. Be it talking to other guys, the way you act around him, or what you say to your friends. If you really care about him, make sure you aren't doing something that makes him feel that way. If you really truley love him, he will know it and not feel that way. If he doesn't, then you two are not meant to be together.

Spend a lot of time with him and don't talk to other (better looking) guys. Take him around your friends and help him out if he decides to go on a diet.

kiss him in public! it gives him confidence! and when he talks about these stuff try not to answer him!ask him do u love me for my look or u love me for myself...so he'll get that looks is not important to u!just try not to bring it up...after a while he will understand...

Just tell him what you told us........also if he can't appreciate what he has in you, don't let him drag u down, if he wants to be depressed let him...........
