Most women feel MUCH more secure in their 40s. Usually, by 40, a woman is well established in her career, family, and social life. You are past the time of having to impress others, and accept yourself for who you are, flaws and all.
However, depending on genetics, it could be early menopause. Those raging hormones can do nasty things to your body!

Not all ladies feel this way. I personally didn't mind when I reached my 40's. I think it is all about the way you approach life. Some people start to think of the time they have left, while others tend to think about what they are going to do with the time they have left. No one really knows how much time they have left, which is why they need to just live. What will be,will be.

I only wish I was as secure in my younger years as I am now that I have gotten older. With age comes wisdom from living life.
I know what I want and I am not afraid to pursue my wants. When I was younger I was afraid of making mistakes, afraid what others might think, afraid of being alone. I know this isn't true for everyone. We all are different.

If she's not in a steady relationship, it could be because it seems everyone else is. When you're older, and more set in your ways, you will not be as willing to deal with just any crap someone tosses at you. You find that you're much more selective, with much less to select from. You don't want to compromise your needs and desires and "settle", but you're afraid of spending the rest of your life single.
