No greater threat to civilization exists than the apocalyptic menace of nuclear terrorism. The fragility of twenty-first century civilization since 9/11 and the USA invasion of Iraq, and its frightening vulnerability to terrorist groups linked to Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, waging jihad in the name of Islam. With unlimited funding made available through Swiss banks, harboring no restraint on the use of a nuclear weapon, and determined to inflict maximum carnage on the people of the United States, the jihadist followers of Osama bin Laden plan a genocidal conspiracy with the ultimate weapon, a nuclear bomb of unparalleled destructive power.
Think of a dark possibility: Al-Qaeda and its network of Islamic terrorist organizations joining forces with the rogue nations of North Korea and Iran and the murky underworld that characterizes the nuclear weapons black market, in a conspiracy involving nuclear terrorism in its most lethal form.

Al-Qaeda's plan: to build the most powerful nuclear weapon ever designed, with the explosive yield of ten thousand Hiroshima atomic bombs, and smuggle it into the United States.

If Al-Qaeda succeeds in detonating the weapon in New York City, this one act of nuclear terrorism will not only destroy America's largest city; it will devastate much of the USA, and in a matter of moments, transform the world's balance of power. Financed by fanatical supporters from radical Islam through money laundering at Swiss banks, its ranks reinforced by bomb-makers from Iraq whom have graduated from high explosives to a nuclear bomb, the terrorists are determined to commit an atrocity on such a vast scale, the attacks of 9/11 will be eclipsed.
With the outcome uncertain , portrayal of a future charged with uncertainty, and dangers unimagined before the terrorist attacks Al-Qaeda launched on September 11, 2001. It is estimated that 1.5 million people in US will die in the first hour after the bombing.

Wow. Now I'm really scared.
At least I might be if I didn't already think that this will occur because the NeoCons will be helping them pull it off by keeping the FBI off their tail like they did on 9/11.
Or that the debt load of our country will make our economy implode in about 5 months, and when it does, a lot more than 1.5 million people will be roaming around trying to find something to eat, and most of them will have guns. That is, unless the government gets all of their internment camps finished by then for any dissenters and rounds up all the registered guns to 'keep the peace'.
Yeah, if it wasn't for that, your Al Queda story might have frightened me a little.
Think of this dark possibility: Everyone selling their future working lifetime to corporate 'districts' in order to get a hole in the wall to sleep in or to get their parents out of debt. Nations would no longer exist under this globalization because all of the major governments will owe so much money that the banks will shut down all of their credit and sell it to the highest bidders. These bidders will most likely be Chinese, Japanese, or Indonesian corporations. Many cities and states have already sold their interstates and tollways to foreign companies and then leased them back from them.

Yeah, the nuclear threat from terrorists is the worst thing we have to worry about.
The terrorists get their money every time you buy gas.

Hopefully all the good countries unite to destroy al-qaida and the terrorists and hopefully the terrorists aren't capable of creating such a weapon.

I think anything is possible in this day and age of technology. If it isn't nuclear war, then biochemical war is the other alternative.
I often wonder if there will be any of our world left for my grandchildren to grow up in someday.

I'd say collision with another celestial body would do the trick.

Probably not as likely, though. How 'bout global warming? Exhaustion of our fossil fuels?

OR, gasp, world peace? Just think how that would screw up our civilization.

Take a deep breath and exhale. Now calm down a bit.
Let your worry rest with God.
It will either happen or not happen. Can you do anything to stop it? If not, concentrate on loving those you love and loving those you don't love.

If the earth should go away or, for that matter, the whole universe, Buddha Nature (our real nature) would still exist and probably create more illusory, sentient beings.

Hmm...fear mongering if I've ever seen any. This is the exact kind of talk that some people want us to believe. It sounds like many of the news-reports but very spiked and exaggerated. I guess this is the feeling that even those wish to inspire and that they do inspire in people. Fear rules and through fear you can be ruled. Who wants to rule through means of this nature? That I think is the deeper question, beyond any of the fear mongering. And the answer is...probably the ones who are spreading these rumours in the first place, the powers that want you to believe it.

The rulers of Rome did this and before as well as since, it has been a common way for people in power to get their will through. The big problem are a lot of people who buy into the fear that they are trying to inspire, virtually spreading the message onwards so that the rulers do not have to do much more but sit back and see their plans come together. The people who spread the fear onwards do so often because they believe it, want to believe it, or better yet, have prejudices that can be used by those in power, perhaps even hatred. The stronger the emotions, the easier for the ruler to manipulate.

These opinions are always spread by the "civilised world", the known rulers, the magnanimous and kind-hearted, well-meaning and gentle rulers of the strongest power. All they are trying to do is rule in peace and help against the barbarians and vandals who should be submitted to the better and more intelligent and kinder powers that be. After all, we are freedom and they are oppressors, the barbaric and evil forces of the dark and we are absolutely justified in fighting them. Didn't you see how they destroyed those buildings, that town, those cities sacked? History is written by the powerful.

The wool is pulled over eyes, willingly and unwillingly and before you know it, a war has started and women and children die as well. Except, that's called collateral damage or casualties of war, not intended, but sadly necessary to destroy the greater evil that threatens our freedom. Of course, we'll be making a lot of money from the weapons industry and perhaps a bit of oil and other riches of the nations conquered but we don't have to get into such detail.

Does anyone stop to consider that none of these so called barbarians have ever exploded bombs on a scale of Nagasaki or even Hiroshima? No, strangely enough that was done by the very nation that stands for freedom and that is against oppression and evil in the world. The richest country in the world bombing the breath out of the poorest country in the world in continuing wars. And apparently there is more to come...there are some more “evil” nations that need to be taken care of. Iran? North Korea? Maybe even China or perhaps they’re too strong?

Before we decide to go anywhere new to bomb we first need to engage in a campaign of demonising the people of a place so that public opinion is on our side. This way, when the first images of dying children and women slip through, we won’t get too many people working against us protesting and stopping our plans. The media spew out our message, varied enough and not too biased so no one can see through, or at least not too blatantly obvious.

When some mad individuals carry out a minor atrocity against us, we’ll blow it out of proportion and milk it for all it’s worth so that it further helps our plan. Of course we won’t tell anyone that we actually built up the enemy, worked with them and provided for them so that they were actually able to commit the atrocities we later on expose with horror. We’ll be distanced enough from them by the time the news hit the screens. This will all of course lead the media to flaunt new, prior non-existent terms and names such as islamists and jihadists etc, making them sound as if they know something. After all, we’d never heard of names or things like that before so they must have some knowledge that we don’t and therefore we better trust what they are saying. Also, the people reporting these things look like us and act like us, not like those Muslims and terrorists who are so evil-looking. That’s true of so many of them after all, I mean, look at all those women who are dressed from head to toe, they can’t be happy like that, they don’t have any Gucci, Dior, Donnakaran, CK or Prada. I mean come on, they need some of that too. That’s how we feel happy and that means that everyone else can only be happy in the same way too. We need to civilise them. So not only will we bomb them out of anger for what they didn’t do, but also because we’re so civilised and compassionate. Isn’t that what smart-bombs are after all, considerate bombs?

Lets recap: We paint dark and threatening pictures of “possible” situations linked with the people and nations that don’t agree with us. We then go on demonising them further so we can wage war against them because essentially they don’t agree with us and therefore we need to subdue them in the name of defence against atrocities that have tenuous connections with them, but more often committed by separate groups without a national belonging that we helped. Better yet, if we can pack them all together into one bunch that would be even more efficient. What collective name could we give them? Lets see...the barbaric hordes...no, the apocalyptic assassins...um, the evildoers...no, axis of evil, yeah that’s it, the axis of evil.

think of it this way. If it all blows up tomorrow can you prevent it? If you say yes then be concerned and worry but since I doubt you or I can don't worry. Live life, have fun, don't get caught.
Peace.
