There are many essential factors to consider; one would be the most obvious that he/she is dumber than a toaster or his/her ignorance excels beyond incomparable. Sometimes, even the smartest people ask the dumbest questions. Due to stress, tension, anxiety or even depression. It is also possible when a person is trying to impress someone; especially when he/she's intimidated or when a person's acting smart. Needless to say, there's no such thing as a stupid question, all i can say is "stupid is as stupid does".

Stupid is in the eye of the beholder. Some of those stupid questions are actually quite funny and the answers can be even funnier.

Well. that would depend on your personal definition of stupid... this also depends on if you make questions or ask questions...
