It depends, if your young (like 14) as so many who post these type of questions are, he probably doesnt get the fact that its not about wether you both have the same talents or hobbies. Finding someone with similar interests goes much deeper than that. But if you are young it wont matter anyways because the longest youll last is until the end of highschool... and that is pretty unlikely. If your not young I apologise for the whole above rant, but still give the same answer... finding someone goes beyond hobbies, into deeper interests such as moral views and personality type. If these things match you will just click when you hang out... if not, then things wont work out. If someone who skates doesnt like you because you dont, they have some issues anyways... so dont worry about it. Do what you like and enjoy yourself... to find the right person you shouldnt have to change yourself.

Actually, I think it's a turn on if we can do the same stuff together. Not everything, though. A lot of what a relationship is about is learning from one another. So, if I can show her new things that we can enjoy together and she can show me new things, well, that's just hot! And while it's important to be able to do some things separately, we should be able to enjoy our differences alongside our similarities.

A lot of guys don't really care what you do, if you're totally hot. You can enjoy scrubbing sewers and they'll say "Really? So do I!? What a coincidence!"
I don't know. Just be yourself. Guys aren't worth bending over backwards for. We're all just a bunch of sex crazed hacks. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell something. Well, unless you're my dad, he's cool.

You and your girlfriend should be able to have your own hobbies and still find things you like to do together. Two people can't be exactly the same. But if you find someone who shares your favorite hobby, that is fine too.

I would say that it is more attractive for a girl to be her own person and be able to do her own thing and be comfortable. Girls should be good at different things than guys.

See I don't necessarily like a girl that can do everything I can do. There has to be some differences, otherwise it's like dating yourself...that's not fun.

If you are with someone whose interests you share it gives you something to talk about and something to do together. Having a relationship with someone with whom you have nothing in common is more difficult. B
