Think about what we feed cats-mainly fish and beef right? Now if you were to leave a cat in a room with a pool full of tuna do you think he'd snag one out and eat it? What if you left a cat in a barn with a cow. Dont think we'd come back the next morning to see Elsie on her back with Fluffy on top with a full belly. Cats in the wild dont normally eat those things, so no they're not good for them. In moderation, they are ok, but not as their main staple. The ideal food would be birds, mice, and other things that they would normally catch in the wild, but they (fortunately) dont sell that. Try a chicken/turkey based food its the closest thing to natural for them.

I also have a 13 year old cat... he is well known for having a sensitive stomach. I feed him Iams and do vary the flavors once a month. He also eats an assortment of canned cat food. If something doesn't agree with him, he will barf it right back up. Maybe the reason your cat is only eating fish, is because you need to try something different with him. Try some different flavors and see what he likes. The pet store will give you some free samples. Good Luck!

I was told by a vet not to feed cats fish! Contraray to popular belief, fish is not good for cats. Neither is milk! Nice sool, clean water is the liquid to feed them. Find a GOOD vetjand he/she will help you make healthy, responsible decisions. Your cat depends on you COMPLETELY.
