Oregon Pinot Noir is very good, look for Erath and Drouhin. Internationally, the top Bugundies are the best (and very, very expensive) There are too many to mention: La Tache, Chambertin, Clos Veugot, Hospice de Beaune, and many others. The wine labeling from Burgundy can be confusing, so get an expert opinion before investing in any of these (the good ones will cost $100-$200 a bottle for currently available (not old vintage) wines.

My favorite is La Crema, it's very smooth and it's only around $20 a bottle. If you've never tried it you should, it's a great wine. I think it comes from California, I'm not sure, though.
