Yes i think its very possible - it's all good till you see what the other looks like LOL - but yes, it most definitely can happen - but it isn't something i would advise - internet dating is a new phenomenon which came in with the innovation in communication age and is really just a phase that most adolescents go through while 'finding themselves' - It's much more reliable to fall in love with a person you are in physical contact with - as in you've met them - and you get to see them and its all open - over the email - for all you know - (unless you're a gay man) your love could be just another perverted man and then look how much time you've wasted - but who am i to say - love takes in an infinite number of forms - whatever works for you - therez just more dangers thats all - I've seen it work well...and in the opposite extreme scenario...i have a dear friend who is very heart broken over a guy who pretended to be someone else and strung her along for 2 years over the internet...so yeh.

I thnk they believe they are in love because they're seaching so hard for it...its easy to convey your true feelings via email..but those are well thought out ideas that the other person writes to portray themselves in a way you'd like. I can say I love the earth and want to save the rainforests...but in person I may litter and were iguana shoes. oh for all the love stories you'll get...my slutty sister "hooked up" with some creep from another state and had the most beautiful internet baby.love the kid,HATE the conception...daddy we are glad your gone!

No. If two people think they have fallen in love via email they have only "fallen in love" with an idea of what they think the other person is like. True love requires two people to spend time in each others' presence, getting to know one another close up. True love requires getting to know the other person's personality, trusting and liking them in a wide variety of situations.

I've fallen in love with cartoon characters, people in books, people I've never met... Love is easy. Love has nothing to do with whether or not two people are compatible enough to make a relationship last longer than the giddy-lusty time. You need so much more, and you can't tell all of those things without spending alot of time with them.

They can fall in infatuation but not love. Love takes getting to know a person in real life. How they are day to day. E-mail can hide a lot about a person. They can present only the good stuff.

Not sane people. People that are in desperate need of love may feel that they are, and they may have feelings for the person they think they know. But you can't actually know someone enough (not matter how open they are) if you haven't actually met them in person.

Yes it is. I know a woman who met a guy online who lives in America, she is in Canada. They eventually met, and then after a while, she moved in with him, and now they're getting married.
