God will make you want to do somthing, in his own way of calling you :). If you have a great passion and desire to become a christian school teacher, than God is defindently calling you in that way :). But, if you desires and passion changes, dont be afraid to change your path.

I think that it is great that you know what you want to do at 13. I am 27 and still wonder if I am doing the right thing sometimes. You can start to work towards your goal now by getting good grades and sticking to your Christain lifestyle, but always remember that it is okay to change your mind later on. Lots of things change between now and about 20, so other things might come up and you feel like you are being called in another direction. I'm sure your youth pastor will help put your mind at ease and be able to answer lots of questions for you. Maybe make a list of things you want to ask. Good on you.

WEll! Well! Well!

There goes the blind to the blind to get talked into a whole lot of mystery Garbage from the youth pastor.

Start by asking yourself if you really believe anything.

Am I only doing this because I found my parents doing it?

Can my parents convince me that they really believe or did they just accept what their parents passed on to them?

What makes me a Christian (not Christain)?

Do I really worship Christ or Jesus or a Cross or the Pastor?

Does my belief come from my heart or from my head?

If I say what I believe out loudly, do I hear myself and believe myself or do I suspect that it does not come out convincingly to my own ear?

When I get 10 minutes with a Christian I am usually told, quite honestly by the Christian, "I dont really believe you know, it is what my parents gave to me, you know, traditional?

Dont gamble your life away. Be smart and do not be discouraged in your search because people will discourage you when you begin to sensibly question what they are afraid of doing.

To be born again you need to start with something like a grain of mustard seed, and you must go through the process of rejection/acceptance till it hurts, and the out come, after all the pain, is the new life that has come into the World.

Youi dont just go jumping around from branch to branch like some spiritual monkey to be "gone again".

Life outside the womb is where you begin to breathe on your own.

I never knew what I wanted to be until I helped take care of my dad while he died. Now I do this for a living.(take care of the sick and dying) My sister on the other hand used to line up her dolls and stuffed animals and teach them, she's a teacher today. God knows what you love and although that may change as you grow older, He knows what will make you happy in the long run just keep trusting in HIm no matter what answers you get from anyone.

God prepares you for your calling; He leads you to your calling; He enables you to fulfill your calling. All you have to do is take hold of every opportunity you can, and trust Him to lead you.
Practically speaking, God has given you a personality, spiritual gifts, and some personal experience (though not a great deal of it, probably, at 13). These things, especially your personality and gifts, are very helpful in finding your calling.
I, too, am still searching for my calling. At 17, I have no idea where I'm going to end up in life; all that's really important, though, is that I will end up where God takes me!

Ask God for confirmation. I'm 24 and had a similiar situation. I turned it over to God and it took sometime, but I knew exactly what God wanted me to do.

If you plan on being broke the rest of your life, then go teach in a parochial school.

Maybe God will pay your mortgage.

Continue to pray daily for God to direct your life, read the Bible for guidance on your path ( thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path), and trust that he will!
