Theyre arrogant because if they were to concede that their way isnt the only way, their whole faith stucture would collapse.

Actually, the Christian God isn't 2,000 years old, he goes back past recorded history. Also, his "book dates" to Moses around to -1300- -1400 B.C.E. so it is ancient indeed.
Also, "organized religion" as you call it today is not loved or approved of by "God," in fact, he find's it (and MOST of the Christianity practisced today, abhorrent and hateful) and will destroy it as he says in the Book of Revelation, Ch. 18, when he calls all Organized Religions, "the Wh*re of Babylon," "drunk on the blood of the martyrs, having fornicated with the governments" what he means by this is that by "prostituting herself with world government leaders and telling them for millinea" what they WANT TO HEAR, then going out and "killing those who speak the truth about God (the martyrs) they are in fact working against HIM. So they are as a Wh*re, and will be destroyed before the end time, and the World itself turning on the religions will be ONE OF THE SIGNS OF THE END OF THE WORLD.
Hmmmm, what are Terrorist? Religious fanatics? Christians kill abortion doctors and say God approves? Sounds like Terrorism to me. So, slowly the world is building up a hate for the bigotry and hypocrisy for religions, also, over 75% of the world governments are already atheistic, so it won't be so hard to push the rest of the world into following their leads. After all, what better way to end the war?
Don't think I'M NOT ON GOD'S SIDE, I am. HOWEVER, only HE can resolve this conflict, and if HE requires the wh*re to die, she will, nothing we can do to stop it, NOTHING. Babylon (ancient) was the BIRTHPLACE, of ALL FALSE RELIGION, the bible says (look it up) and so we see that at the endtime she is once again the place of all false religion (even false christianity), sorry there is NO WIDE is the path and many finding it, it is "narrow is the path, and few finding it."
God HAS SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR HIS WORSHIP AND if you can't meet those, he simply does not need your worship. Pure and simple. That's why he sorts out the "sheep" from the "goats."

Let's compare and see which is arrogant.
For the sake of discussion, We'll say 2 people know nothing of any religions.
A)One finds the bible and studies it and decides to change his/her life and conform to it in order to receive salvation. He believe that his God became human and humbled himself by enduring humiliation, beatings and even a painful death.
B)The other decides that he has the capability within himself to determine what is right and wrong. That he himself can attain enlightenment and even become his own diety. That others who suffer must have done something wrong in another lifetime which thereby brought misery on them in this lifetime. In other words they deserve what they are getting.
I'd say the guy behind curtain B is more arrogant. There are plenty of arrogant Christians as well. The bible speaks to this in the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. The pharisee prayed thanks to God for not making him like those other people. He thanked God by praising himself. The tax collector prayed to God for forgiveness and said that he was unworthy to even be able to pray to God. Jesus says that the tax collector was in the right because he humbled himself and praised God, while the pharisee praised himself instead of God. We Christians mess up all the time. That's why we need a savior. If other religions don't think they do, what does that say about their practitioners?

First off I am considered a Christian, but I do not believe you are going to hell for questioning only a fool does not question!!! Now I am almost certain your a logical person. So lets present facts and just to show you some hypocrisy of what they call Christianity. Now Christ said Pray in Secret!!! And he goes on and says pray not as the HEATHEN do because they think they shall be heard for their much SPEAKING!! So anyone whom uses words and call them prayer to anther is not prayer to god! So most preachers are hypocritical, Also Christ said that give your gifts to god in SECRET!!!! Not pass around a plate in a crowd where others can see. He also said to the disciples that FREELY you have been given freely give the word of god is not i repeat not for sale it is to be given FREELY!!! Now i can list many hypocrisy's within those so called churches like he said the Blind leading the Blind

A disorganized anything is worthless and can do nothing to help people.
Think about Hurricane Katrina. Was it good for the government to be disorganized in helping them? But the organized religions were the first ones in to help them. Why? Because, unlike the disorganization of government help, the religious organizations were organized and therefore already had all of the structure they needed to provide help to a lot of people before the government got there.

yeah...ill tell you...what you have here is a bunch of kids and teenagers...some who are very smart....and some who are not quite there yet in their Biblical Education...that's why you didnt always get a correct or complete answer....now sometimes you get some adults here who have the complete answer and they get blow en off or called names and then get falsely reported...remember this a religious room and category...now do i go into the other rooms and hate ladies who are looking for cleanings solutions....no!...that would be stupid and ignorant....so why do the nonbelievers come here to bash us...because most of them are full of hate which starts in their families at home and are obviously unloved and full a hate...and this brings them happiness to make other people feel like they feel....if you have real hard questions...then maybe you should go and ask a person at a local church...unless you dint feel that you would believe him either...and if not... then you ll will never believe or find out the truth for yourself...because down inside you really might not want to....remember your in a room mostly full of kids and teens.....with no teacher to stop the fighting...

Organized religion is O.K., if taken with a grain of salt. One must recognize the fact there is value in any religion. However, fundamentalism in any religion is dangerous. It precludes the process of thought, regarding the true purposes of religion: to be kind to your fellow man, and to follow its general guidelines for living in harmony with others. Read Mark Twain's "Letters from the Earth." At fist it appears to be heresy, but in actuality, Twain is attacking hypocrisy. [It's an enjoyable read!]

Forget religion.
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Christ is the tree of life.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

I think they are arrogant. I'm a Christian, but I'm not into organized religion...I don't attent church because I don't like the way most of them are....things that don't even make sense, like you can't dance at this one and you can't have a band at that one. Things that have nothing to do with God in my opinion. I don't believe that one religions is right or wrong, even though I'm Christian. Religion itself is a belief not fact. When we die, we'll know all the facts, but there's no way to know right now. I don't think it's right to comdemn someone just because they don't share your views.

Organized religion is the root of all the world's evil, pain, and suffering. Killing others in the name of a god is representative of the pathetic level man has de-evolved to.

Yes partially. Sometimes it can be that way. If you want to check out Christian churches that are non-judgmental, it might be best to try Unitarians or the Quakers. You can't reason with the hypocrites you are referring to. And they have no sense of humor about themselves, which makes it dreadful and boring.
