I had at least $25,000 worth the work done at my old home town dentist, between 14 and 21 years old. When I moved away, my mouth started to fall apart all over again and some things were even worse. my new dentist informed me that almost all of my root canals, crowns, and other work would have to be re done. I totally trust my new dentist, but there is no possible way I can foot the bill for work that I have already had to pay for once. please help.

Get a SECOND opinion. If your dentist is that good he won't object
If your close to Mexico go there- some of their dentists do good work for a fraction of the cost you pay here
If you live on either the east or west coast your screwed-
I live/work in Arkansas (yes we have dentists here) and we charge 1/3 of what you would pay elsewhere in the US
that 25,000 that you spent would be what we charge to crown every tooth in your head (32) at least 3 times

No -- but PLEASE let me know if you find out. My teeth are in big big trouble and I can't afford a dentist either. I'm sorry --- I know what you're going through. I can't chew on the left side of my mouth at all. There are similar questions on here --- I asked once --- someone said to take a trip to India. I can't do that. If I did that, I could afford a dentist!!! Our first home cost $25,000 -- how crazy is that???

If you check with a local university, they may have a Dental program and they do work either free or for low cost.. University of Vermont does that I know. or go to Canada if you are near there.

You may also want to think about some kind of legal action against your old dentist. Clearly, his work was worthless.
