Feeling *down* for no reason is fairly normal, but if it continues for more than a couple of weeks, you should speak to your physician about it (or your parents or guidance counselor if you're a student.)
Clinical depression is a disorder that's caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain. It's not something you can "shake off" or something that has a reason to begin. For some folks there's a trigger, an event that causes the depression to begin, and then they're just never really able to feel better after that.
For other folks, it just starts. Something causes your brain to stop producing those chemicals the right way and it could be genetic (maybe it runs in your family) or environmental (maybe you haven't had enough time outside in sunlight, common in night shift workers and for some folks, every winter) or maybe it's just a temporary thing and no one knows the cause for it.
In any event, if it lasts more than a couple of weeks, if it's affecting your appetite (either way) or your ability to sleep and/or concentrate (or if you just want to sleep all the time) or if you feel like harming yourself, you should talk to a professional about the way you're feeling.
Sometimes it's like a fog that just lifts... but sometimes you need a little help to get that process started. My best to you...

Yes, I think everyone gets that way from time to time. When my wife got out of the hospital and all the bills started to hit I would get a really bad feeling of dread. The dumb thing was we have two insurances that I knew would pay everything. I figure the dread was brought on by a combination of things probably the stress of watching her go through the operation and being her nurse for a month and a half while she recovered.
The best thing I found to do was recognize it for what it was (nothing) and try to stay busy. Find things that made my wife comfortable and happy.

i bet that the answer many would give u is that u need to see a doctor so he can give u some pills . it is very common that people feel depress nowadays and the answer which has been given is that it is a sickness . however this depression which the call a sickness today did not existed before , people used to feel depressed when things were going bad but not when nothing was wrong . in my opinion it is the way most Americans live today what it's causing people to feel that way , people do not have a purpose , they only think about themselves and just a few try to care for others . so my best advice to u is to give a purpose to your life , care for others , think in those who love u and those who need your help , be different .

the very undeniable actuality that it is genuine is f*d up. you should make certain someone in case you appreciate watching it, it is pretty incorrect. And if someplace obtainable each and every man or woman is being beheaded for no reason per chance you should document it.. by the way how ought to you experience if that befell to you and also you knew human beings were purely sitting round getting kicks out of it?

I agree with GameOver, try and find something that brings you joy. But it may be something more, sometimes we have flucuations in hormones that make us crazy. I realize that now more that ever. Why do women cry so much, it is not that we are woman, but that we have hormones that cause this.

find someone to talk to, like a close friend or a relative, that you can trust and feel like you can open up too. And if you are like me, when there is no one to talk to that you depend on, try a counselor or a therapist..
