Maybe he isn't rewarding and punishing you. It could be that when you do wrong, you need a reminder of his love, and hardships are a challange to help you grow stronger. This type of reward/punish view of God has been around as long as people. There's a story in the bible about some people coming to Jesus and asking how a blind man's mother sinned to cause her child's blindness. He responded that she did not sin, but that the man's blindness was part of God's plan for Jesus to bring glory to the Father by healing him. I hope this helps, but asking God, not Yahoo users, is always the best way to go. Pray about it.

You need to back up and take a look at that again. If you do something right or that God wants you to do, is there not going to be opposition to it? Mainly from Satan and his demons?
That is the problem God does not reward anyone for doing things they should not do. And He will not punish you for doing right.

Often times the commandments of God that aren't directly speaking to man's relationship to God have been established to help people stay out of the trouble that sin causes.
The results of sin aren't necessarily God's punishment, often times it's simply the end result of sin and the conclusion that it leads you to. It's often easier to look back after going through such an ordeal and see why that commandment was there in the first place.

You've got it backwards. He rewards you for doing good, and punishes you for doing wrong.
