The correct answer.
Buggery, Verb, The act of inserting a Penis into another persons Anus.
A person has been deemed to have been Buggered if this act has been committed on that person.
Until recently this act was Illegal in the UK (and poss. may still be) even between consenting adults, even a married M/F couple.
Several Colloquial uses of the words are know but usually refer to something bad having occured i.e. My life is Buggered up, or, a particularly bad person can be described as, a bit of a Bugger.
It puts a whole (sorry) new perspective on the American comment "I found a bugger up my nose."
The expression has been corrupted into general usage as described by "Everybody1" "yummymummy72" "troubled" in his first answer, and "Kev" lol.
Peter R thanks for missing the Humourous nature of the question you were specifically asked not to answer.

Seeing as nobody else seems to give the right answer, I know you don´t want Brits to answer but Hey!!!!!!

Buggered in it´s original form means stymied, as in you have no further options.

Buggery is A.Nal sex .

However there is another use for the word:
Example: Running around like buggery means a lot of hard work achieving nothing.

Sorry for answering as a Brit but I thought you deserved the right answer !!!!

A bugger is a pest in the US much to the surprise of my English Grandmother when it came out of an inoffensive little American girl's mouth in 1970.
