Generally they will issue you with a tourist visa when you arrive.
However don't quote me on that. Call your nearest travel agency and ask them.
Usually tourist visa's are valid for upto 6 months, but more usually 90 days. Some other countries are only permitted one month or even less.

If you are a Filipino, you will be needing a visa to enter Korea. You can choose from Temporary Business (C-2) or Temporary Visit (C-3) You can apply for a maximum of 90 days visa and apply for extension there, if needed. You will be needing an invitation letter if you will visit a relative/friend/business partner and check out the embassy of Korea in Manila for other documents needed. If you plan for a package tour, much better so your travel agent will arrange everything for you. I was told that for your first visit you have to make a personal appearance at the embassy but on your next visit it is okay for others to process in your behalf. This is confirmed by my Sister's Filipina friend and they are both in Korea teaching ESL and Math.

Contact the Korean Embassy there in Manilla. They'll tell you if you need one or not.

Good luck. There are lots of Filipinos out there in Seoul.
