how do i make a very powerfull spotlight?

i need to make a spotlight powerfull enough to project a bright light onto the clouds i need help

i was thinking pvc tubes with a mirror at the bottom and a florecent tube on the side to make sure there is no focal point
think lasers without high tech chemicals

any help is appreciated

Get a big parabolic mirror and put a welding arc at the focal point.
