As a confirmed dessert lover, this is a hard one but I'd have to go with my grandfather's poppyseed cake. My grandfather was a master baker who passed away a few years ago. His poppyseed cake was a sweet dough wrapped around sweet poppyseed filling. Golden, sweet, and oh so gooey. My brother and I would fight for who got to eat the last piece. Though it's been years since we got to eat the real thing, some things never fade as my brother and I found ourselves playfully arguing a few months ago about who got the third piece of similar looking poppyseed cake from a bakery in north Jersey our dad pointed out to us. Being the little brother (brat?) he got it, but we both agreed it wasn't close to the "real thing." Maybe not the most decadent dessert out there, but to me "favorite dessert" is the one tied to "favorite memories."

A huge piece of hot apple pie, with lots of cinnamon sauce, with a huge serving of vanilla ice cream on top. Heaven on a spoon.
