How can you tell apart a black bear male from a female black bear from a very long range (such as 200 M away)?

If there are cubs present, your bear will not be a male..A mature female will usually have cubs around.. That's what they do, raise one set of cubs then kick them out to have another..

I think females tend to be smaller in size, correct me if I am wrong.
