Bio-medicine? Are you kidding? Bio-medicine IS the future.
Think about gene therapy, stem cell therapy, new and alternative antibiotics, cancer research and treatment, nano medicine, telesurgery, bio-mechanical prosthetics, bio-mechanical organs, longevity & aging, the list goes on and on.
Absolutely yes! Where engineering was 20 years ago, biomedicine is today. Expect it to stay in the forefront of technology and medicine for, oh let's say, the next century.

Biomedicine is a huge field...the most promising specializations in biomedicine right now are biostatistics & genetics...
There is a distinction to be made, though:
The field of biomedicine is good. But this field does not hire alot of people if they just major in biology. Instead, you have to have a specific skill (or two). Skills include: statistics, chemistry, and computer programming. If you can apply your technical skill to biology and/or medicine, then you will be golden!

sure, dear i would like to say that naturally ,the diseases are catogarised into 3 forms.
1.celestial disease -it is happening by the celistial attact .i,e-natural calamity,natural disaster.
2.auto disease - it means self make diseases like social disease,i.e,-smoking,alcoholism,drugs,and so on.
3.biotic disease- it is happen from the biotic system,i.e-disease create from the attact from the plants,animals,microbes,and so on.
so,from the past to the present and to the future our body needs the good remedy from this three kind of diseases.
our forefather found out the real solution to such 3 type of diseases.
artificial therapy gives only short solution to the disease .this modern medicine will never use in future.
did you that WHO-the world heallth organisation is come to stop the fund release to research development and recommendation for doing research work antibiotic therapy.
instead of that, they come to grant the fund for development in the biomedicine field.
after 2008 the WHO introduce the new therapy called"COW PATHY".
COWPATHY- the medicine from cow urine.they concentrate more on herbals and alternative system.
so, really biomedicine is the wonder therapy in the future.

biomedicine, as someone has already stated, is the damn future. there is alot of things that are happening in this sector and i wont be surprised if this will be the thing that will drive our economy in the future
