People keep answering this same question, and say we're already in a world war. What countries are we at war with??? The WORLD is not at war. We are at war with terrorists, not any countries, as of right now. You have to have multiple countries fighting on different fronts (against each other) to be a world war. One day it will probably happen, if history does repeat itself. Theres no way to know.

I grew up during the 'Cold War'. We were told it was inevitable, and would happen soon. That was in the 1960's. The knowledge that we could blow up the planet 10 times over must have been enough of a deterrent. At least at the time...........

Ya, we're already in the early stages of it. Just think the muslims have invaded Europe. The mexicans are invading the U.S. and the terrorist cowards have also attacked us. N. Korea's attempting to build ICBMs along w/ Iran. Israel and lebanon are already goin at it. All that's left to make it official is for france to surrender.
