It's not hard to stay single. Well yeah, it is. Just make it clear to the guys you're dating that you are in fact just dating. I make it very clear to girls I date that we are not a couple and that we are merely dating. Hold your ground. Don't commit to meeting family and friends. And especially don't be expected to be with the other person every weekend. Again stress you are just dating whenever they push for a relationship. When the person(s) you are dating become too time consuming ... let them know and start dating someone else. Just because you're dating someone doesn't mean it has to lead to marriage.
As far as family members and friends who figure you should be married. Let me know how you make out with that. I get yelled at every time I break up with a "great girl".

its not hard for me well yes it is but i just pick who i want and drop who i dont want i have a line but when i want me time i close down the shop as in break up with the current one turn down every one or use the ever so popular maybe than get back with them

I think girls are usually too preppy and clingy to realize that they can be single.

it is not hard....some people simply feel that they NEED someone in their life to make it whole...others are more independent....you don't have to be in a relationship unless you decide to....
