Does it hurt?

fortunately I still have my own teeth- However, I work with dentures everyday- by all means if you can keep your natural teeth do it- no matter what ANY dentist tells you there is nothing better than your own teeth- most people who have dentures don't usually have much trouble with the uppers but no matter what you do a lower denture will not stay in place and they flop all over the place.

I have had false teeth since I started high school and they don't hurt as long as they fit ok. I could hardly chew anything with my real teeth without them breaking or pieces breaking off, so for me false teeth are a lot better. There are some things I like to eat without them though, but my bf says I look a little strange doin that.

False teeth are better than having no teeth at all, but they are nowhere near as good as having your own real teeth. I vaguely remember hearing that false teeth can bite about 20% as hard as real teeth in a lecture some time back...

No I don't have false teeth but, I imagine both would be good for chewing. I have heard it hurts when they pull all your teeth and the new ones get fitted.

Sixty plus and still have my own choppers. I think dentures are gross. So I spend a lot of money keeping my teeth.
