Yes it is. They are called Class II cavities. It can be done very easily. The dentist goes from the top and makes a hole on the side with cavity. Once they prepare the cavity, they will place some thing called as a Matrix band between the tooth with cavity and adjacent tooth. However they will not fill it with enamel (like one person answered). You can either choose between Composite (tooth colored) or amalgam (silver) restorations. Composites are slightly more expensive but the flip side is metal fillings have mercury which is not exactly healthy. If the cavity is too large, crowns may be an option. But always seek a second opinion if the dentist really pushes you into getting crowns.

Yes it is possible- that is where most cavities occur- a dentist will
fill it by drilling through the top and taking out all the decay then filling in the hole.
The best way to avoid this is brush and FLOSS
these types of cavities are only found on x-rays so have them taken at least every 2 years

Yes you can and the dentist drills as usual in the effected tooth on the side then fill.

Yes, you can get them on the sides. They make fillings small enough to repair them. If it's that difficult to get to, the dentist may drill some of your tooth then repair it.

yes it's possible - the dentist will use metal wedges to move the teeth, drill, fill, and remove the wedges

It's possible.

They sometimes shave it down and put a crown on it.
