This is an old wives tale, but it actually worked for me. Cut a potato in half and rub it on the wart, then bury the potato under a drain outside of the house.I had that wart for so long and after I did that- it totally went away. Free and alternative to freezing it off-which does hurt.

An over the counter wart remover will work. It did for my daughter when she was about 6-7 years old.

I can only tell you what I did and I had some big ones plus they kept spreading each year. You want to get them when they are still small as they are easier to get rid of.

I was about 19 at the time and I started working on the big ones first. You just have to keep picking at them and aggrevate them until they leave. Pinch them at the base and pinch at the top. Keep pinching at them until they bleed. Keep in mind that this is not you and they don't belong on you. You keep making them bleed until you either kill them or until they just can't take the pain no more and go away on their own. The big ones will hurt more since they've dug into your nervous system, but believe me, the pain they are receiving is far more than what you will feel.

Next for the small ones. Once I got rid of the big ones, I started to notice they would try to start growing on another part of my body. The small ones will go away much quicker with this method. It's more like scratching an itch when it comes to pain value. Just as with the bigger ones, just scratch it off till it bleeds. If it don't come all the way off, grab it with some tweasers and yank it off. Now once you got it off, you will need to monitor the body since it may try to come back in another location. If it does just do the same thing.

And now, I have been wart free for nearly 20 years. Oh I can still see them on my skin, but they don't dare grow out to where I can get ahold of them. They can stay level with my skin and no one can see them, but I can see. And they know not to grow since they know what I will do to them if they try.

Hope this helps.

Believe it or not, this actually works. Cut a small peice of duct tape, you know that heavy silver tape, and place it on the wart. Keep it there for at least a week, replacing it if you have to..... and the wart will dissapear!!!!! Did it myself and was stunned!!! but it works!!!

A child at that age, I would consult a pediatrician. As a rule of thumb it is always best to check with a pediatrician before giving or using OTC medications with any child under age 12.

There is this new wart spray, as said you can freeze it off. I took my son to the docs and that is what they did, he had on on his toe. Did not return and only took one treatment.

Good Luck
