cats are cleaner, insteadthey are smarter too because they usually know the way home if they are lost. we had many cat long time ago. they dont use litter. instead they go outside and dig in the backyard and do their business there. then they cover it afterwards. what a smart animal. less problem than a dog. our dog, we clean his poop everyday in the backyard. what a hassle

I have a min pin, therefore right now I am biased to the dog. However, I have had both and enjoyed both. I think that both can be clean animals as long as the owner has the patience and time. Cats are kind of anti social to me sometimes though, whereas many dogs are greeting you at the door while the cat walks by with their tail up in the air!!!

Got 3, 2 of which were strays. They are all of God"s (Yahweh, Buddha, whatever) little children and deserve to be treated with the same respect as all living things. Cats better than dogs??? That's a toss-up. Different yes, but that depends on the temperament of pet and human alike. If you dig cats, enjoy that for what it is, and love them for who they are.

I like cats much better than dogs. I have 2 cats and they are so much easier than dogs! Cats don't need constant attention and they are cleaner. Plus you can leave them for a day or so and not worry about messes on the floor!!

I love all animals but I prefer cats for they are so much easier to care for. Besides I hate exercise and dogs need lots of it. That is part of why I prefer cats and I love the way they purr it is so soothing and comforting.

<------- Cats Rock they are indpendent But they will come and spend time with you i have a cat she sleeps with me we cuddle at night before we go ot sleep she meows alot sometimes i call her all talking she's sweet I mean Dogs are ok but they cant purr and most not into cuddling you have to walk a dog i have nothing against dogs just prefer cats & they just go out unless indoor which mine is she's my best friend keeps me comp and gives me Love what more could i ask for

Most people now have cats as pets. Dogs have fallen to second place. Cats are cleaner, more independent, require less attention and eat less.

Cats are so much better than dogs, cats are pretty much trained to use the littber box, better than finding droppings on the floor, then you step on it, cats aren't too loud, they aren't too destructive, they don't smell, and they are so much smarter than dogs. Cats rule and dogs drule!!!!

I have a pug he is really a great little guy. He is not the typical dog. He is just himself. He is very special. I think it all depends on the particular bond a person has with that particular animal. Some animals are really special. It does not matter what species they are.
