ha, not me! my last child just graduated and i don't ever have to buy school clothes again.

you may think i am old but i am only forty. both of my children are out of school.one has already moved out and started a life of her own. i am still young. i am supposed to still have little kids.

actually i miss it so bad i can't stand it.

you will be so shocked at how quick the school years go . when my last one started high school i cried for weeks because then i knew it was over. the high school years fly by so quick!

i would love to go back in time and have them in 2nd grade again.

enjoy the summers and make them memorable. make every first day of school exciting for him.

enjoy the little fellow while he is young and don't ever wish the days away, you will be beggin for them back before you know it.

god bless your family.

************i just saw your new comment. i am not judging you at all. don't get me wrong there were plenty of times i was ready for school to start. the kids get bored during the summer and are usually just as ready for school as the parents.

Yes, I am very ready. I have a boy going into 4th, a girl going into 3rd and a boy starting kindergarten.

Yes, I agree that they indeed do need a break from school. However, school is a place where they learn, and socialize. They NEED that time away from there parents. School also gives them life leasons that they might not learn when not in school.

I love summer with my kids. But am so glad when they indeed do start back. August 9th is JUST around the corner!

I remember growing up and during the summer thinking I couldn't wait to get back. I loved school (yes I was an uber nerd but I liked it anyway) Now that I'm a mom I'm torn, I've been so busy with my girls this summer that I've barely had time for myself but then I think that I'll never have this time again and savor every moment. I'll be alright (I think) when they go back to school in the fall but I'm going to miss all the extra time we've had together. I can't believe summer is half over already.

Not me. I really enjoy my time with my daughter who's 8, almost 9. I think summer goes by way too fast. Kids don't stay small for long, so I try to enjoy every moment I can. We keep busy doing things that both of us like to do. When school starts, it actually feels lonely around the house.

It seems like school just got out! Good luck! I have an 8 year old who is entering the 3rd grade. When she started 2nd grade she was in a size 8.. when she finished she was (and still is) in a size 12 slim. She got soo tall and skinny in 2nd grade!

In a way I am ready, but I really think my kids are more excited about school starting than I am!

It's nice not having the daily grind of going to and from school. Children are not little adults, they need a break to play too.

I can't wait! We homeschool and I love being with my children, and I love to watch them learn and grow....so I am very excited for school to start. If you don't enjoy being with your child, maybe you should not have had children then. Children are a blessing.

I'm not even a mother yet but I can't wait for school to start so I don't have to listen to temper tantrums everytime I go out.
