This is SO true...and so annoying. I can't tell you the number of times I've wanted to contact someone who answered one of my questions, only to find their email hasn't been verified. I don't try to contact these people to flame them...that's not my style. Usually it happens when someone misunderstands my question and I feel the need to clarify things. Funny it's always the people who are total jerks who never have their email set up. Seems that they can dish it out, but they can't take it.

I don't know about anyone else, but there was one time (most especially when I used to be with AOL) where I used to receive personal e-mails that were harassing in nature, not simply someone who would be up for an honest discussion. If you blocked their e-mails, then they would sign up with a different e-mail and then harass you all over again. Sometimes they would do so in the form of e-cards, IMs, etc. It was horrible.
I'm glad that Yahoo has set up the option where our e-mails be protected from that kind of hateful e-mail.
If you object to that, you have obviously never been the object of harassment. It's a nightmare!

I just ignore it. Life is too short to concern myself with pompous a$$es like that. And if anyone has a problem with what I say here, I am set up to receive messages and will more than likely willingly discuss my opinions with people who want an honest debate. Flame wars - I'll have no part of.

I don't mouth off to people all that often, but just because somebody isn't set up for email contact doesn't mean they're doing it to avoid being flamed.
I, for one, am not set up for email because this pervert randomly contacted me with...offensive and suggestive material. I'd rather not go through that again.

You're inviting people to respond by asking. Answering is more like providing a service. If you're bold enough to ask complete strangers questions you cant be shocked by the answers and you shouldnt feel that they are obligated to give you their email so you can respond, because they didnt ask.

Word! I noticed that too...alot of alligator mouths...with little jay-bird asses. What's the fun in that? I imagine alot of 12 year olds get bored...I'm just surprised some can read with the state of our public school systems. *sigh*

I think it's funny. I even use my own picture - who cares anyway?
If you have an opinion or comment - you should be open to other people's ideas too. If you can dish it out, you should be able to take it just the same!

I don't see what the problem is, yahoo doesn't even reveal your email to other people. Everyone should have email responce on.
