If they're using any of your parents' financial/tax data, then your parents have to sign it too.

I used my signature, but I'm 22 and a single parent, so although I live with my parents, I am considered head of household. However, their signature was not required.

No, even if you are over 18, both you AND one of your parents must sign electronically.

If you are 18+ then you sign. If you are under 18, they must sign.

In the section that ask you questions like if you're married, if you have dependents, etc, etc, and the answers are yes/no.... if you answer yes to any of them, you are considered independent and don't need your parents to do anything.
