Because they already have their eye on the other guy and didn't want you to begin with. They didn't have a good way to get to know him and you were his friend/acquaintance. Once she was with you, he got to know her, then she switched to him.
If it happened to you, sorry dude! It's a real rip when it does.

The same reason that some guys treat a girl nice just to get into her pants.
Some people are users, and there's not much that can be done to change them. Some grow out of it, some don't. The good news is that, as you get older, you learn to spot the users a lot quicker.
Learn from your experiences instead of being bitter. Learn to watch and read people. That skill will take you far in life.

They are very cruel and self-centered.
Think of this, though: any guy that takes advantage of the situation to find that kind of a woman, and gets with her when she has just used you like that... he DESERVES that selfish snot.
