The first step to find the path to heaven is to find the right religion. If you want to go to Heaven you have to seek proper knowledge from a person who practises what they preach. Then check what the followers are like…do you want to be like them? Do they have the following characteristics: drunkards, smokers and other horrible things? It is because a particular path to God may be good, but the followers are bad. If majority of the followers are like this, however, then it is the wrong path. Holy books are most important; make sure there aren't 'New' and 'Old' Testaments but contain commentaries instead. 'New' and 'Old' Testaments only mean, a regular person has tampered with the original script to mould it to their own selfish needs. Lastly test the path, if you are getting more knowledge and removing your doubts then fear automatically disappears. You have to pray to God and ask him to guide you to the right path. Never speculate or do what you 'feel' is right, follow something substantial. Remember everyone has their own opinion of what is right and wrong. That’s why you need a good teacher and perfect Holy scriptures. Go ahead the answer is out there!!

Heaven is a Christians final destination and is a GIFT from GOD and is yours for the asking. You must recognize and admit to being a sinner; ask forgiveness and repent from those sins and sinful nature; accept Jesus Christ as your Load and Savior. You are SAVED at the moment you TRULY accept Christ into your life as your Load and Savior. God does know if you are truly saved and he wants only that for you he loves you so much; You should public ally declare your faith by BAPTISM and the joining with a fellowship that will foster and nurture you along the path of your new found spirituality; I am Southern Baptist and personally believe in TOTAL IMMERSION in BAPTISM.

Nothing, there is nothing you can do to get into Heaven.
No church, Temple, kingdom hall or mosque.

There is no act, no good deed, no work you can do..In some countries if you do not belong to a certain religion, you can't work etc. Some religions everyone believes the exact same thing.

Only once did God choose a people unto himself, They did not hold fast to his word.

God places it in our hearts to believe in him and truly seek him and sent a part of himself to pay the way. It is what he did that some may go to heaven. If you believe it was you, you have no ticket. No one deserves to go, but some have been called.
alleluia

Remember Christ said Few they be that find it. Well how does one get into heaven I myself am not sure, sometimes i do think it may require a sacrifice that many overlook. Christ said if anyone comes after me let him deny himself!!! This is a rare trait in people. but remember the word Forgive others, Do unto others as you would have done to you, Have mercy and the lord has mercy, Give when asked, and fromever who would borrow turn not away. Now how many times has these words failed, these are the words that he sowed let them not die.

By living an honest and just life. When your heart is weighed against the feather of Maat and it balances. Then you are allowed to enter the after life or heaven to join the Gods until your rebirth.

Wake up tomorrow and live your life fully.

The only heaven we can get is the one on earth as we live this life. Sometimes is sucks, sometimes luck gets the best of us, but all we can do is strive to live, learn, love and laugh.

Don't waste your life worrying about a non-existant celestial heaven. Spend it trying to make this life as "heavenly" as possible.

Romans 10:9 states "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Also, Christ will save a group of people as seen in Matthew 25:31-46 wherein those who helped His brethren (body of believers) will be granted access as well.
Read the Book of John and Romans. That should help a great deal.

Read the Bible and ask God for a clear understanding of His words and you will discover the way to Heaven.

Well based on religions past and present by doing EXACTLY as they say and not asking any questions...

I just had to ammend my response to say you guys have got to be a: American or b: as sane as a sack of ferrets (or most likely both). Except the maruajana guy..I liked him...

If I have to spout such sanctimonius garbage like most of the responses here to get into heaven then the lord can kiss my shiny metal ***!

You are asking the question like you either are "in" or your "out". Which makes me think you believe there is judgment on whether you make it or not. I do believe we go through a life evaluation once you die, but I don't think it's as clear cut as some would want you to believe....I think if you love God with all your heart and soul and love one another with all your heart and soul, well then, you won't have anything to worry about. Basically, do your best to always do the perceived "good/loving" thing...which is how most people live their lives....and when you die, you are "in".
