Regular hydrogen peroxide from a drug store will turn your hair orange! I did this once when my light brown hair turned green in some spots from swimming in a pool one summer. So I thought that using peroxide would get the green out....not so! It turned a horrible shade of orange and my pretty curls were ruined for YEARS afterward! My hair has never been the same! Don't do it! For anyone trying to remove green from their hair, I now know that there are certain products that can be bought in a salon that will do the trick without making your hair change colors and fall out!!

Peroxide makes hair brassy, and obviously is not meant as a dying agent for hair. Because of that there is no way to tell exactly what it would look like, so it's probably better to not try and find out you don't like it. After all, it can be hard to repair, and can damange your hair because it's so strong. Try a wash out hair dye if you are unsure if you'll like a color, and then work your way up to a permenant or a salon dye job. Professional looks the best, obviously but can be pricey if you aren't sure yet on the color. If you have an idea, you can bring it to a salon and they'll match it exactly for you.

You really shouldn't change your hair like that, I know someone who did and he said his hair was dry and frizzy all the time, some people have even gone bald at a typically younger than usual age because of bleaching their hair with peroxide.

if you put peroxide on your hair it will make it a lot lighter....the longer you leave it on, the lighter it gets. I have medium brown hair and I left some on for 10 mintues and my hair was a "beach bunny blonde" just due a test strip every 2 or 3 mins.

No, it will lighten your hair but not to what you want. You need to highlight it and then tone it with a strawberry blond like the picture you showed. Her hair has a lot of red, you may not like what it looks like after you do it. People often see hair styles and colors on other people thinking they will like it , only to be disappointed. Get a highlight with a toner in that color, then you wont ruin your hair from processing all of it.

It will turn it bright orange if that's what you want. I know this because I did it myself. I mixed peroxide with household ammonia. Wasn't pretty. Took a lot of the color out and left it really orangy.

That look like you had strawberry blonde or reddish blonde hair when you put peroxide in your hair and don't use peroxide in your hair anymore and go use reddish-blonde streak stuff or just dye it reddish blonde, auburn,or light red.

Peroxide bleaches your hair, not change it to brown.

your best bet would be to buy some hair color in the specific color you are looking for.
peroxide only lightens, and is usually only best on blondes.
