Guys...if a girl can cook and i mean can really cook, does it really matter or do people just say it does?

Well, when a guy is thinking about a relationship with someone... it's really not going to sway him one way or another if he really likes you. Is it a major plus? Absolutely... it's definately a turn on but just because you can't cook, doesn't mean a guy will say "well screw that." That's just being silly...
If you CAN cook though... please don't let us stop you. We're hungry and still growing :D

No it doesn't matter if the girl can really cook. Then she can teach her man some things as well and he doesn't have to cook all the time. they can cook together

Men's minds switch between 3 subjects: Sex, Food, Sleep. Yes it is important that a woman can cook. She doesn't have to be a gourmet cook, but if she can make a meal without burning the water it's a plus. Now let me get some sleep.

We all have to eat, and eating a meal that was prepared by someone who knows their way around a kitchen and can cook well, is a joy.
So yes it matters a great deal.
It's like any other skill, it takes time, patience and lots of skill. If you have ever eaten at a restaurant or a back yard BBQ, and eaten food that was badly cooked, then you will appreciate it, when it's done well.

It would be a good thing to have.. but I can cook fairly well (if i say so myself) so its not a pre requisite or anything :) For those who cant cook I think it would matter a lot more !

Depends on if the guy can cook or not.
If not eating out all the time gets old fast

well to it really doesn't matter since i do most to all of the cooking.
some guys might say it matters, but the truth is he falls in love with you not your cooking skills...

It does matter but is she willing to cook for us... thats the question.
If a girl can soewhat cook but is willijng to have my dinner ready everytime i come home from work. I will take the willing one over the CHEF any day.
