You may substitute the word Mormon with any other religion and it is the same.. There are a lot of folks that are against anything... The answers are not always what you would like...

Sorry, I have seen a lot of Christian bashing as a whole. Not particularly Mormans, But, there is always a but, But I have seen some answer listed above, TYPICAL WESTERN US, or SUBSTITUE MORMAN FOR ANY RELIGION, or a number of things. Well, I am glad to live in the USA, you want bashing, Be a professing Christian of ANY sort and go to Iraq, Iran, China, Lebenon,,,,, they cut your head off or worse. Heck, Catholics and Prodestants were Killing each other in Ireland. At least some mormans can have multiple wives. I can't afford the one I have.
God bless all you Christians
And may the Lord take a liking to ya!

Becuase people just like to break people down. I'm not supporting mormons, I am a diehard Christian, but I try to be polite about my beliefs. I am sorry about any people on this site who claim to be Christians that are being mean.

There are questions (and answers) here that bash all sorts of things. I guess it just depends on where your sensitive spots are.
It's an open forum, and some people think Mormons are fair game.
My Grandmother once gave me some great advice...and in my life, I've learned that she was telling me the simple truth.
Here it is:
"If you don't want people shooting at you, don't give them any ammunition."

Because we are a very small Christian Church... and most people see the "reformed" mormon church on tv.. and believe that it is the same one...or... they believe that we worship Joseph Smith... or maybe even Mormon...

but.. mostly... they have not read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it as I have.

I'm not going to try to rude here, just honest.

Mormon's believe that they are the True Native American's and the actual Native American's were turned red by "god". They got this information from a man who read "holy words" that no one else was allowed to see, and when he had to do it again, he couldn't...

Granted, it's still not as far-fetched as scientology.

Well, honestly there is always at least one question which is designed to down just about anybody. Don't take it personally.
There are a lot of angry, misguided people out there.

God bless.

Because people are offended by different religious beliefs. I am Catholic and your Mormon beliefs do not bother me. Usually it is the evangelicals.....they seem to get pissed off at everyone. I mean they think I am a sick papist and you are a delusional pseudo son of God.....I tend to ignore them.

My curious brother, feeble minded "Yellow Dogs" persecute the things that they fear because of the life style they live. People don't understand us so they feel the need to persecute us. Lift your chin up and be honored to be A LATTER-DAY SAINT and forget the "yellow dogs".
