Cook in chicken broth and add saffron if you have some. It's very expensive, but the flavor is nice. Want really yellow rice? Use turmeric. It's the spice that makes curry powder yellow.

Trust the Saffron and Turmeric answers. Just a small amount in the water while cooking. Use whichever you have in the cupboard. Makes a nice change from white rice. Best with long grain rice.

My son likes his rice yellow, so I add some curry powder before microwaving the rice. Probably just a few shakes - it doesn't affect the taste at all, and the colour is pretty, not dull like the spice looks like.

Chicken bouillion is the most common way. Also Saffron turns Spanish rice that orangy color. There are these packets called Sazon that are artificial saffron (saffron cost 100 dollars a gram)
All those clowns who said you can buy Saffron in the supermarket are wrong. They are buying artifial saffron and just do not know it

You add tomato sauce and water. Quickly brown it in a pan with a little bit of oil, then add tomato paste and water. The rice will absorb all the water so make sure you monitor when the water evaporates so you can add more. Also add seasonings when you add water. This is how we make Spanish Rice. You can also add stuff like carrots or peas or corn. I like it plain.

Add a tiny bit of saffron to it. It's a seasoning that you can buy at a grocery store.
