At 18, you probably haven't been close to a lot of men, just tall boys pretending to be.

It's all a matter of confidence and strength. Men want a woman who will boost their self esteem, not hurt it. So... men tend to be attracted to the strongest/prettiest/most desireable woman they can find; that they think they're at least equal to.

So, most men will tend to go for the rotten apples, or even a few half-baked ones, rather than try for something they think is out of their reach. Only a few will reach for the top.

So... if you have to limit your choices eventually to one, be selective. Be strong, be smart, be beautiful. It will weed out the weak ones for you. Then, you choose who gets to "pick" you.

ps... like your poem, BTW

Guys are intimidated by strong women. They have no control over them. They can't force you to do anything you don't want to do. I find being that way makes me less likely to have a long lasting relationship witha guy. They hate it. But were more powerful in that sense. Some guys find it more challenging others hate it. To each his own. If he hates it FORGET HIM!

No, we're not, honey. You just keep finding all the bad ones.

Why is it ok for women to stereotype men? If men do it it's a horrible thing.
