Sigh: these "is X wrong" questions annoy me, because nothing is wrong universally, only wrong in a certain context. Or wrong as in the term of "incorrect"

Maybe you could say "Is masturbation a sin" and then you'd have to ask "according to who/what religion" in which case, different interpretations say different things.

And of course you can ask "Will masturbation cause harm to someone else" which is, in general, no. And of course, you can ask "Will masturbation cause harm to me" which is, again, a general no.

This is a question that can only be answered by your Lord and your conscience. If you feel guilt after the act it is the Holy Spirit convicting you. If you do not feel guilty and have been performing the act for some time then you have hardened yourself to His prompting. Prayer and searching the Scriptures will guide you, but you must halt this activity until you have peace in your heart and spirit and with your Lord.

I have no idea about "mastrubation." However, "masturbation" is perfectly fine. Should be encouraged. Takes care of a lot of problems, really.

Yes, and the reason is obvious. You just asked the question; therefore implying you feel concerned about such an act and feel that it may be wrong. Any true Christian who has the Spirit guiding them would know it to be wrong, it is a profane act against your body, and it desecrates the temple of the Holy Spirit which is the body.

I do it, and I have tried to stop for a long time. It is clearly wrong to me, I feel bad after I do it, I want to stop, I ask God to help and I try to cast away Satan's temptations upon my desires. Unfortunately for me it is that one sin I have the most trouble with, but we all have such sins they allow us to realize that we aren't perfect and deserve death and condemnation.

It is addictive and is very hard to overcome, it is almost equal to overcoming lust for me.

Well, as one of those "hard-core" Christians, I would have to say no, there's nothing wrong with it. It's not mentioned in the Bible, so it's left up to you to decide how you feel about it. The only exception I'd make is that you not let it turn into a situation where you fantasize about other people and indulge in a lot of lust. That would be wrong. But otherwise, enjoy it as much as you please.

There is a group of fundies that thinks God kills a kitten every time someone mastrubates. Dumb huh. Just like thinking it is wrong. Dumb.

No, it is something that has been portrayed as sinful because of misconception and a stigma of shame. But there's nothing wrong with it. Especially considering it could at the very least prevent some teen pregnancies.

Well, according to the hard core Christians yes. They believe that sex is only to be allowed for the purpose of reproduction. One person can't reproduce so....

I don't think it is wrong. It's natural. Cats and dogs do it.

So you really have to decide what your views on sex are.

There is a verse in the Bible that says that it is better for a man to drop his seed on the ground than to place it into a whore.
