Life is hard because if life were easy, how would we enjoy Holidays or be thankful that we accomplished something? Life is a lot easier when two or more work together toward the same shared goals. Thats what makes marriage so attractive to those who don't want babies cluttering their lives.

Not to be cliche but : Life is what you make it. Expect it to be hard and difficult and it will be. Know that you, yourself have control over it and it won't be. I became crippled last year, I could have said damn look what life has done to me now, why oh why me. But instead I said screw this I am gonna live my life to the fullest and not look back not give in give up or feel sorry for myself. Life if is what you choose to make of it.

In comparrison to what? Life could be easier, or it could be harder. To say "why isn't it easier" is to ask "Why isn't life as easy as possible." I guess if you work under the assumption that "God" is controlling life, and you want to know why he doesn't make things easier for us, then it's a valid question. But otherwise, it's an issue of things work how they work. They could be worse just as easily as they could be better.
