Just continue doing the things you like to do, if that means surfing the internet, then you'll probably find a girl that likes it too. But, the first thing you have to do is stop caring. That doesn't mean stop looking, because opportunities don't always just land in your lap. But when you start being enough for you, and you don't need a love to complete you, you'll find a girl that thinks you're enough for her too. : )

Not enough info for an answer. Are you too shy? Do you talk too much, or do you only talk about your likes? Are you too set in your own ways that you won't allow "new" situations to happen?
When you are dealing with women, we like conversation. If you look disinterested, or don't respond, we are likely to move on. the conversation needs to flow. Don't make us do all the talking. Realize men and women have different likes and dislikes. Not all women love sports. Try talking about things you have in common.
We like small gestures of affection. A single rose is great....Pulling chairs out, opening doors buying her her favorite candy. Doesn't have to cost lots of money, just your time.
Act like we are the only woman in the room. Don't be looking at the girl across the room, or walking down the street.
Also depends on how old you are. If you are a teen, girls are fickle at that age. Ever heard of "flavor of the week". Teen girls change their minds as fast as they change their clothes. Don't take this personally....it's just immaturity.
If you are older, seek out the wisdom of a trusted female friend or family member (mom or sisters are great sources of help)
Wish I could help more.

If you want to pick up a girl, don't rush into a relationship. Take your time finding a girl that is right for you. There are dating networks (not the best idea, though)..and...I know this sounds wrong, but its an idea...um, you could go to a church singles group and scout out any sweet girls attending..hehe.
You sound like a nice guy. Good luck with love ~ Elle

You don't give many details. Do you think you may be trying too hard? Are you focused on the girl? Have you had relationships at all, or are you looking for the first one? Need more data here.

I had someone answer one of my questions that was similar, with this "Look for salt in a salt mine, and gold in a gold mine." Meaning, if you want a decent worthwhile person, frequent places that decent worthwhile people would. I doubt your dream girl is sitting, or rather falling, off of a bar stool at the neighborhood bar and grill....

Get off the internet, and go to the park, church, or to the grocery store. Actually quit looking, you will find what you want when you least expect it.

1. shut off the computer
2. find an interest, and join something...
I don't know how old you are, but join a church or a youth group, or a singles ministry
3. don't wait for it to happen, just live your life and let life happen to you.
