The day you worship is arbitrary. If God had wanted, he could have made it on Wednesday. What is important is that we set a day apart from the rest to worship Him.

I attend church on Sunday (when I attend at all) because we live so far from any Sabbath-keeping churches. I keep the Sabbath from sundown Friday til sunday Saturday. I clean up any major messes (like spills), microwave our food, don't do any dishes or laundry, stay home and devote the day to reading the BIble with the kids, singing praises to God, and sometimes we go outside to observe all the wonderful things He made.
But, my thoughts are that the Sabbath was written in stone....God wouldn't write something in stone if he didn't mean us to keep it. He also wrote that we shouldn't murder, commit adultery, etc. all on the same stone. Those are some pretty major things, so why would He write the Sabbath there if it weren't just as important? He instituted the Sabbath at the beginning of time when he rested after the Creation, so it's not part of the Jewish law in my own beliefs.
Some say the Sabbath was done away with at the cross. In that case, why did Jesus speak of the Sabbath when he was speaking of the End Times??? Maybe because the Sabbath should still be observed even then?
If we're going to worship on Sunday, "The Lord's Day," then where is the Biblical proof that we should do this? Just because the apostles met on one Sunday, we don't know what they were doing, why they met, or if it was a regular meeting day. Why didn't Jesus tell us to meet on Sunday if He wanted us to? SUNday is the day of worship for the SUN god, see? It's named after the sun, so why would we want to worship the SON of GOD on that day?
According to Wikipedia.... "The first Christians were Jews and maintained the observance of the Jewish Sabbath rest, but by the first half of the second century most Christians no longer observed the Sabbath, instead gathering for worship on Sunday (although for some time the Sabbath continued to be held in a special regard even among Christians who observed Sunday)."
This is a very interesting article..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday

The Adventists are improper to blame the Catholic Church for changing the Sabbath time without work to Sunday. the actual reason is got here across in the recent testomony. After Jesus resurrected, the church homes all started assembly on Sunday, the 1st day of the week (see Acts 20:7,1Cor sixteen;20. a sturdy scripture in this situation is Romans 14:5-6 which states that each and each individual could nicely be conscious an afternoon for the lord as he chooses. the main element is which you need to have a minimum of sooner or later of in the week despite if it is not mandatory for that day to be Sunday anymore. Jesus informed to maintain the ten commandments different than the single on the subject of the Sabbath. The disciples of Jesus did no longer coach to maintain the Sabbath the two. The differences in God's order are those in the recent testomony which supersede the previous testomony with the aid of new Covenant between God and all peoples who're belivers no longer purely the Jews. yet another occasion is that each and each physique ingredients are declared sparkling in the N.T. and so as that they could be eatan the place in the previous they have been prohibited in the O.T.(see the e book of Acts the place Peter has the imaginitive and prescient to consume what exchange into as quickly as unclean).

Yes, the Sabbath is really Saturday. According to the commandment, the Sabbath is a day of rest, not only for each person individually, but also for his kids, his servants, any strangers living in his town, and even for his animals. Oth, the Temple in Jerusalem, as well as the local synagogues, were open for business EVERY day of the week.
People (like the Seventh Day Adventists) who make it a point to go to church on Saturday sort of misunderstand the commandment, but it wouldn't matter, as long as all they did was attend worship. However, the very second they pull into a convenience store for gas, or for a drink, someone else is working for them for money. Thus, they have broken the very commandment they are striving so hard to keep.
As for me, I stay home on Saturday, watch the tube with the kids, and eat out of the microwave. I don't work on Saturday. On Sunday, I study, sing, pray, learn, and fellowship with other believers. I make it a point to worship God on any day that ends in "y".

During the time when Mosaic Law was strictly imposed to God's people, it falls on the "Seventh Day of the Week". In our modern calendar, each week starts on Sunday therefore the 7th day is Saturday.
Our basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter also includes our spiritual needs. That's why God reserved this 7th day as a time for spiritual matters such as Contemplation, Personal Bible study, family bible study and congregation bible study.
At present we not not covered by the Mosaic Law, but the "principle" still applies to all Christian. We should make a point to buy some of our time to be used for our spiritual needs. That "time" could be our break time from work or any spare time, early in the morning, or before bed time. We should read the bible daily and attend our regular weekly Christian Meetings.

The Hebrews were given Saturday as the Sabbath and that's good enough for me.
Say the names of the week. Do you end with Saturday or Sunday?
Do you know who was the first to designate Sunday as a day of worship? And why?
In any case, the Bible says we aren't supposed to argue about it, but what every man thinks in his heart he should do.

The Sabbath day is not binding to Christians. It is indeed amazing that people want to keep the sabbath, yet they don't want to follow the letter of the law on the sabbath.
The church met on the first day of the week, which celebrates the resurrection of Christ.
Act 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
Read this and make sure you understand the context.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; << Old law nailed to cross
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: << Nailed to the cross
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
A Christian does not look back to the Sabbath as the Jews did, but looks back to the Resurrection which was on the first day of the week.
Please take time to read this with many scriptures:

I do not believe the day is as important as the reason behind it. It is more important to worship God whenever you can. Why does the actual day matter so much? If another person chooses to believe in the Sabbath on Saturday I have no problem with that either.

It doesn't bother me when people go to church. Just go. The Bible tells us to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. It does not set aside a particular day. The Jews Sabbath is Saturday, so be it. Mine is Sunday, so be it. I also go Wednesday night. Amen.
