I do not think God is a being of a sexual nature of any kind. I do think that people are born gay. I do think that God loves everyone. Therefore he loves you. It is okay to be gay. My mother is gay. I do not feel gay is a choice. I think it is like the color of our eyes or skin. It just is. I think churches are the problem and humans are the problem. If you look at Jesus and his teachings he loved everyone. Humans have distorted religions. It is not god that does not love you. You need to find a way to practice religious beliefs in a way that you feel accepted. That may be a certain organization or you may choose to practice on your own. I find so much hypocracy in organized religion at the moment that I choose to practice in my heart and life actions and not with an organization or in a group where people can get judgemental and mean. It is all up to you, but God loves you and he did make you and he does not make mistakes as we know. Everything happens for a reason. We just do not understand why.

He didn't make you gay, you chose that path. There is nothing in your genetic makeup that determines you to be homosexual. Scientifically there is nothing to supprt this. If that were truly the case it would honestly be a genetic defect since there is no way of procreating and all homosexuals would eventually become extinct. In accordance to what you believe science to prove then you would be a genetic mutation that evolution would eventually eradicate. But we know that's not the case, looking back in human history like the roman empire, it was a prevelant issue even in the bible. So homosexuality has always been around and most likely will be because it appeals to a certain person, just as it does for straight men to be overly promiscuous.
UC Berkley in California, the most liberal college on the face of the planet found in doing research, that the brains patterns between heterosexuals and homosexuals are different. Score one for the gay community? Nope, their results concluded that the change in pattern happen after a person participate in homosexual activity. It's a choice, whether you like it or not, it is and it changes you emotionally and metaphysically. God doesn't hate you for that and Christians that say that God hate fags and all that should be shot IMO.
God loves you just as much as he does the people addicted to crack, who love themselves more then anyone else, the alduteress, people hooked on porn, promiscuous heterosexuals murderers and everyone else who is undeserving of his love, myself included. It's about grace, not being good enough to be accepted to God being good enough to accept you flaws and all.

I only read the first answer, and I'm compelled to write this . . .
If only these enlightened, 'know everything' folks could allow themselves to consider, for just a split second this
TRUTH ---- GOD WAS CREATED BY MAN ----
How wonderful a world this could be. . .but ...
If THAT can't happen - at least somehow these poor beleaguered fanatics might benefit from practicing this - - -
LIVE, AND LET LIVE. . .
Being at Yahoo Answers, and being subjected to all the religious zealot energies that are thrown about, and stirred into the pot of diverse human beliefs, has certainly helped firm MY resolve in believing the above TRUTH . . .
Human behavior (such as manifest here) validates for me, that god of the human species, is a very old human construct, and religion is truly 'the opiate of the masses'.
May the energies and vibrations of Peace and true empathy be present in our world - thru the efforts and acceptance of each human for another. . . and may this reality come to pass, sooner than never. Amen

Cute but wrong. The Image is Gods the impulses to abuse the will God has given you is not. All sin is simply an attempt to go against Gods will. Even if he made you with a desire for people of the same sex he also gave you an order not to fullfill that desire and the means of fighting it. The purpose was to see if you would Obey. Will you? I hope so and so does he. Remember he also made humans with a genetic desire for Cocaine should we make cocaine use lawfull too?

Do you also think He made folks with incurable diseases, or lacking limbs, or any of the other things like that? We live in a fallen word, and there are all kinds of misfortunes that can happen to a person, even before birth. Having a sexual desire for other men is just one more accidental misfortune among many thousands of others. I see no reason to glorify it or consider it special in any way at all. I never heard a kleptomaniac try to excuse stealing on the grounds that God made him that way. I never heard a glutton try to excuse his excess love of food for that reason. Having a certain deformity (such as homosexuality) is no shame to you any more than having a club foot is something to be ashamed of. . . if a man bears it with faith and love and avoids sin he can be a shining example to others of how life ought to be lived. But to embrace the deformity and declare that it was God's purpose to make you that way. . . that's blasphemy for one thing, and for another it wastes the opportunity you've been given to uplift others. Think carefully before you draw conclusions like that.

Have a taste of your OWN CRAP.
Homosexuality is a great danger that threatens the world's social fabric and a disease. In the same way as a virus kills the human body, this danger brings about subtle social collapse. Homosexuality, prostitution, pre-marital and extra-marital sex, sexual misdemeanors, pornography, sexual harassment and the increase of sex-related illnesses, are a number of important indications of the collapse of moral values.
With 22 million dead in 20 years, the proportion of sex-related illnesses is an important criterion to help indicate the extent of the problems facing humanity. According to the records of the World Health Organization (WHO), sex-related diseases forms one of the largest segments of illnesses. These reports show that of an estimated 333 million new cases of sexually transmitted diseases occur in the world every year.18 In addition, AIDS continues to be the most serious problem. Statistics of WHO indicate that the total number of AIDS deaths since the beginning of the epidemic have been 18.8 million persons.19 The report of the World Health Organization for the year 2000 sums up the situation succinctly: "AIDS is unique in its devastating impact on the social, economic and demographic underpinnings of development." Among the most frightening developments is the spread of homosexuality. The audacity of today's homosexuals makes one think of the end of the people of Lut who were noted for their homosexuality. As it says in the Qur'an, when they flamboyantly rejected Lut (as)'s invitation to the right path, Allah destroyed the city and its people by a great disaster. As a reminder, the remains of this perverse society still lie beneath the water of Lut's Lake (the Dead Sea).

God is not gay.If you understood who God is and what He wants, you would not say that.Romans1;26-27That is why God let go of them and let them do all these evil things,so that even their women turned against Gods natural plan for them and indulged in sex sins with each other,And the men instead of having a normal sex relationship with women, burned with lust for each other, men doing shameful things with other men and, as a result, getting paid within their own souls with the penalty they so richly deserved.....Life application Bible easy reading for someone like you ..The devil is a liar and he is the one who has deceived you to think you are gay.If you think about something for a long time your going to make it happen. The Bible says to cast down impure thoughts.Guess what else? You reading this and Romans1;26-27 is Gods words. So you are accountable before Him when it comes time to stand before Him.You can not tell God you didn't know because He will bring it to your remembrance and might even send you away to the lake of fire.

First of all no one is made equal in the eyes of God, we're made in the image of God. We will all be judged by our individual actions, and according to the choices we make on earth. His question for us will be, "What did you do for me while living on earth." God doesn't make people gay. People are tempted by the devil to be gay and people decide to be gay. God isn't gay. God also isn't a murderer, a rapist, a thief, or a liar, but yet people still decide to do these things. Romans 1:24-27 says, "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lust. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." People were punished for committing sins, like being homosexual. Leviticus 18:22 says, "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." So, God did create us in the image of him, but he did not make us homosexuals, or liars, or murders, those are the choices people make. But even though we sin, God still loves us, he just hates our sin.

Oh boy....some people will say its your choice, I believe it is not a choice and it in your genes. Eventually religious people will realize that God made you that way and they will stop condemning you. But it doesn't necessarily mean God is gay. You, and everyone else, are made in his general "image," but that doesn't mean every trait everyone has he also has. Or maybe it does, but then he would tall as well as short, fat and skinny and gay and straight, so it couldn't be like that.

Why do people continue to think of God as a human?
And on another note. The person who posted before me, how does your sexual orientation determine whether or not you can create a world or universe?
