Yes, many.
But we do not wrap ourselves in our flag and thump the bible spewing hate and venom towards anyone who disagrees with us.

A lot of the times being a liberal in the sense the term is used today means that you cannot really reconcile your personal beliefs with Christian doctrine. However, being a liberal in the true sense of liberalism means you want change, so technically, we're all liberals in one way or another. Anyway, I'm a Christian, but I struggle with condemning homosexuals, abortion, etc.
I would consider myself a moderate as far as current political terminology goes.

I worked for the rights of ladies. i exchange into an recommend for female reproductive rights or professional dying as some known because it. I nonetheless carry some values pricey regarding females. most of the suffragettes have been Christians yet they did no longer take a literal concepts-set to scripture regarding females's rights. I evaluate myself to be professional gay rights. i do no longer think of this team could be discriminated against. i be attentive to the Bible is obvious approximately asserting this exchange into no longer proper habit. this is no longer a determination I could make for anybody else. If I say i'm against user-friendly divorce , I sound like a bully . My very own determination has been to proceed to be married to the comparable individual for an prolonged time and nag them lots. Proverbs says a nagging female is like the drip, drip drip of a leaky roof. that's what they get for marrying such multiple different halves. there are a number of liberal church homes The Catholic church believes in evolution. Unitarians are accepting of almost anybody different than customary Christians. some Mennonites and Methodists have gay pastors and gay marriages. It relies upon on the church. you will stumble in this out via going to their church website or asking the place the church stands on those subject concerns.

There are actually quite a few, it really depends on which denomination you choose and geography. I'm a Methodist in California and pretty much all my fellow parishioners are practicing liberal Christians

we're not all conservatives...i know the republican party would be tickled to death to make it a requirement...i guess you'd call me a 'practicing Christian' since i still haven't got it right yet! there are more of us than you might think, we don't generally stand on the corner screaming at people...we're usually busy doing things like working and raising our kids, helping other people out when we can, attending church, teaching sunday school...

I'm liberal and I practice, in fact I'm a seminary graduate.
But I don't think it's entirely fair to define for everyone else what a practicing Christian is. We all interpret our faith and the Bible differently, and what you may consider as practicing your faith might be different from someone else/s definition.

If you look at many of the black churches you will fing "Liberals," but I'd rather say Democrats, who are practicing Christians. They are rarely pro-Gray though.
However, I am not one of them.
