i would say it was about 13 or 14 because i would sip the foam off the top of the glass of beer.
i was 14 when i had my first (official) drink (given to me by an adult-a NY policeman friend of my father) it was a small glass of wine. we were toasting in the new year. and he gave everyone over 14 a small cup to bring in the year.
but, a responsible drinker will drink at home, so they will not have a chance to drive under the influence of alcohol.

I have a picture of me as a baby with my great aunt. She was holding a beer can to my mouth. So I guess I can say that I tasted beer by the time I was one year old. I don't like alcohol though. The strongest thing I've had to date is an Appleicious wine cooler and I'm 20 now.

my mom would let me have a small amount of strawberry daquiris on the rare occasions any were made at our house (generally this also entailed colby jack cheese and cocktail shrimp for some reason), beginning around the age of 12 i think
before that i had a babysitter who was an old country woman who gave me a homemade cough remedy consisting of, i think, honey, lemon juice, whiskey, probably around the age of 10
it's a cliche, but wine is a normal everyday thing at the dinner table in europe (the adults don't save it for "special occasions"), and european children are generally exposed to diluted wine (or beer) at an early age, so that it doesn't assume a taboo appeal like in american prohibitionist households ... and believe the incidence of alcoholism in europe is still lower than in america. a more educational mindset is adopted in that culture..

Beer was legal when I was 18. But I hated the taste. I prefered soda or this stuff called "Right Time" which was cherry flavored malt liquor.

I got very drunk at age 5. Thanksgiving dinner, red wine. My parents seemed to think it was funny. Now I'm an alcoholic! Go figure...
