You may very well be just friends, but you probably hold more in your heart for the girl you knew since 5 than your current gf & she most likely knows that, any smart girl would. You have a huge likelyness of having a great friendship romantic or not w/your friend. You have to decide if you will always remain just friends & let your gf know that. Let the two girls get to know eachother w/out you. Your friend has the most positive influence in your relationship now. Believe it or not your friend can make it or break it for you!
Good Luck!

well any girl would be jeouls,i mean come on u knew her since u were five thats going to make ur gf feel like u and her have way more in commen and that u might take her over ur gf.
and u should put ur hand around her waste even if u don't have feelings for her in that way
or hold her hand and stuff
thats what ur supposed to do only with ur gf
if u were single it wouldnt really mater u could do wat ever u want
so just say sorry to ur gf and explain everything
and mayby u'll understand
promise her that u'll start to treat her more like a friend instead of a friend with benifits
ok?
~hope i helped ♥

Your girlfriend is having a hard time believeing you probably becuase she sees you are a touchy feely person with this female friend of yours, and when you leave the room, instead of including her you exclude her, and begin laughing which could make her feel as though you are laughing about her, or something else that you are again not including her in. I have no problem with guys having girls as best friends, most of my best friends are guys...BUT you have to understand from your girlfriend's point of view....what if she was that way with one of her guy friends(if she has any)...how would you feel??? I see it from both sides, i have been the girlfriend in an incident very similar, and I was very hurt by being left out, and the "friend" knew it hurt me and actually tried to make it worse, eventually, she and my fiance cut all ties, because he saw that his friend was trying to purposely come inbetween us because her guy-bud, had a girlfriend and was doing things with me instead. Now, as for being the best friend of a guy, I am NEVER giggly, touchy, nor would I ever leave my friend's girl out, I always include her, even if his rude butt doesn't, which makes him apologize to her for being rude, and to me for being a boob. BUT, again, I never get giggly, or touchy with my best guy friends, especially in front of a nboyfriend or girlfriend, it's just not right, no matter how long you have only been friends.

hell id be jealous too... you have to see it from her perspective. How would you feel if your girlfriend walked up to your house with a guy friend of hers, holding his hand, and putting her arm around him? You would get jealous too...

You see when people of the opposite sexes are friends for that long their tends to be a bit of sexual tension that builds up... your girlfriend might sense that.

Cut her some slack, and maybe stop being so physical with your friend in front of your girlfriend.

well some women are gonna get jealous. Weirdly it's nothin we can control. It's not her being insecure about her self it's just the way she feel. Thats like one of her guy friend from her past give her a bear football hug for that second to long...you gonna be jealous. maybe she just spoke out on it.

You did a "no, no." Now, you have to make amends. That means go get some flowers and perfume for your sweetie and tell her you love only her and won't bring your "friend" home any more if she is upset by it.

Well, all you could do is keep telling her or show her that you guys are just friends, or you could always have your best friend talk to your girl friend to explain everything to her.
