Some Christians want a literal interpretation of the story of creation, as told in Genesis, taught alongside Darwin’s theory of evolution in schools, believing "intelligent design" to be an equally plausible theory of how the world began.

Here in our world, there are THREE different scenarios for the origin of the world that different groups of people wish to see taught in schools: (1) "a literal interpretation of the story of creation, as told in Genesis," (2) "Darwin's theory of evolution," and (3) "Intelligent Design."

People who support (3) may strongly disagree with those who support (1). They're merely arguing that the universe contains SOME evidence of having been intelligently designed, without that being tied to any particular view of what the designer or the designers were like or whether the Genesis narrative is to be taken literally.

Can you be a completely a butterfly and yet at the same time be completely a duck? Your question is a trick question. But here is an answer: If God made it big enough it would be bigger than the Earth, at which point it could no longer be lifted, but rather the Earth would need to be lifted from it. This still being possible, I must say God could increase both masses infinitely and still be able to separate them.

A meaningless sequence of words does not suddenly become meaningful simply because you prefix the word "God" to it. Your question is self-contradictory and therefore meaningless. And so frikkin old...

When I say "No, God can't do that," I am merely asserting that God can't do the self-contradictory, not that there is some actually conceivable action of which God is incapable. Get that?

Guess he did not think of that when he made rocks. I will keep watching to see the Christians try to bend logic, and dodge a direct answer.

Why do you ask this age-old, stupid question? God is not stupid and He is not wasteful, so why would He bother to spend any time trying to outdistance Himself? How would the answer to this question change your life?
