about running out of phone numbers. If we would start using the infamous 555- from the television show we would have enough numbers.

Well like everything else - it probably got way blown out of hand. I work for a Telcom and can tell you that there are actually a finite set of numbers and anyone can't just start making up new ones due to tables that have to be internationally recognized so calls can complete. If all companies follow FCC guidelines we won't have any problems.

We are running out of phone numbers?????? OMG NOOOOO!

I wouldn't mind that. Then our cell and home phones could all be the same number and cut down on the outrageous cost. We could share numbers with our families and I'm sure the world is technologically advanced enough for two people to talk from the same number at once. We can have routers like we do with DSL and cable.
