An adult heart rate should be around 70 beats per minute at rest. If your heart is beating 160 times a minute then you have a SERIOUS problem and you should go to the hospital immediately. I am a paramedic. If you have a heart rate of 160 that means that your heart is beating almost 3 times per second; now seriously do you think that's good?

depends on your weight and age, for someone 30 years old 300 lbs doing cardio, that's about right, but it is too much for non obese people. Ask a doctor and a personal trainer
