I really want to exercise but I find I don't have any energy.

I am really trying to get fit.

In the last 7 months I have quit smoking (YEAH!!!!), stopped drinking pop (thought I never would--I was a Pepsi finatic), and stopped buying any junk food, ex.-- chips, cookies, etc.

Now if I could only get moving.
I think the pounds will just drop off.
I have increased my water from 0 zero glasses to buying cases of bottled water and actually like drinking it.

I really need to just get out and start walking or something but I just don't have the needed energy.

I also have began eating lots of fruit and veggies daily.
I am serious.

I suffer from excrutiating MIGRAINES and I want to be healthy and live a long life.
I have been in so much pain during my life. I feel I have lost so much time while trying to deal with these Migraines.

I feel now is the time for me to get my life back.

So please help me with some good ideas. No wise cracks.

Seriously.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

I dont know you, but i am soooo proud of you. good for you!!!
it isn't easy making lifestyle changes. the key is to start out slowly. take a walk around the block in the evening everyday after dinner(don't eat late, not past 5-6pm) then after a few days make it 2 times around and so on. then maybe add in some sother sort of exercise or use arm and leg weights while you walk. don't go crazy or you will become sore and possible burn out from exhaustion, plus you don't want to bring on a migraine. slow and steady wins the race! walking is a great exercise and as you get more energy from walking you can maybe try some power walking or swing your arms while listening to music as you walk.keep up the good work!

all i can tell you from experience is turn on some music you like and get moving...then just do your routine..of course you need a plan first. Tell yourself this and this and this much is what im going to do then make yourself do it....after a few weeks it will become natural and you will look forward to it....but be sure that whatever goals you set as far as how much exercize...do it...and be realistic..start off slow and with a short enough time you know you can do it.

You and a friend could start going for daily walks together. Then the two of you could talk and get some excersise at the same time.
