I have seen alot of "before the big bang" questions used as a proof of god.

Pretty good article here on before the big bang. Non technical paper mostly. Builds on string theory, and makes alot of sense. What ya'll think?

yes there is a great deal of disagreement on string theory. It may, in some version or other, or may not, be valid. I simply think that looking at various efforts under way, shows that while we don't know everything, we are always looking for understanding. I'm not in any way smart enough to understand the math or some of the deeper concepts behind alot of cosmology, but if you keep an open mind, there is alot of cool work being done, that may someday expand our knowledege of the question "how did we get here?"

It would help if string theory had some experimental support. There was also a calculation recently using quantum loop gravity that predicts a Big Crunch before the Big Bang. So we have a couple of possibilities. Let's see what the evidence says over time.

interesting paper, but still, just like we Christians cant prove to you there is a God, science cant prove to us there isn't a God, and you are way off you think it can. ever wonder why they cant piece together the string theory completely? maybe they need to figure in a power working above the laws of physics.

Very interesting paper. String theory meets a lot of resistance from hard-core quantum mechanics types, however. But it's interesting.

Why try to argue logical science with christians? They will only believe science when they think they can make a point against atheist/evolution.
