How many lame have you healed lately. How many sick have you cured, how many have you raised from the dead? You answer these, then ask me again.

"He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father," John 14:12
By Christ's ascending, we were given access to the Holy Spirit. "Greater works" can refer to the time put in and number of people reached to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This scripture does not imply that we do greater miracles - just that the extent of our work for the Lord reaches many more people. The primary intent of Jesus's words here, according to many Bible teachers, is to let us know that the greatest miracle is the advent of faith in Christ within even a single heart.
Only the Spirit of God can reveal Jesus to others. Only God Himself performs the miracles. To our God, we can do no greater work than to demonstrate His love that causes even one person to want to know Him through Christ.
Mark 16:17-18 does not indicate the greater works implied in John 14:12. The signs and healings that "accompany those who believe" is a reference to that by our faith we have access to His power which can bring about logically impossible events. Not that we actively seek miracles, the scripture lets us know the signs naturally flow from our walking in His Spirit whether 30 A.D or 2006.

I don't think we've yet managed to raise anyone from the dead (as He did Lazarus), or to instantly heal a blind man, or to walk on water, or quite a few of the other things He did. So I'm not sure if I could agree with the "bigger and better" statement.

Do we do bogger and better miracles now, then when Jesus showed us that miracles happen everyday? I have yet to see anyone turn water into wine or walk on water, great miracles. Remember, the more who believe in everyday miracles, the more miracles happen...more believers, thatnks in a huge part to Jesus' own sacrafice.

Its all about one up man ship. No doubt when the J-Man comes back for his sell out return world tour; he'll simultaneously banish world hunger, stop all wars and make sure everyone understands that when he says "love thy neighbor" he doesn't mean two thousand years of ignorance and bloodshed.
Or maybe Christ just ain't got Sh*t on Bill Gates.

yeah, paul and the apostles did all that, and now and then you hear of it happening these days. i think maybe the 'bigger miracle' was the spreading of the gospel to the gentiles and the entire world, not just the jews. but that's just a guess. hope that helped, i wasn't entirely certain what you meant by your question.

Umm, Jesus raised a number of people from the dead, notably Lazarus. I don't think we've topped that one yet...
